Illuminating Remote Areas of Jakarta with Divine Words, DT Peduli Distributes Hundreds of Al-Qur'an and Iqro in Marunda

DTPEDULI.ORG | JAKARTA – The light of dakwah continues to shine to the coastal areas of the capital city. Through the Peduli Dakwah program, the national zakat amil institution (Laznas) DT Peduli carried out the distribution of Qur'an mushaf and Iqro books for the community in the Marunda area, North Jakarta, Tuesday (28/4/2026).

This step was taken as a form of concern for the availability of adequate worship facilities, while supporting the eradication of Qur'an illiteracy in an area whose majority population works as fishermen and daily laborers.

The arrival of the DT Peduli team was welcomed with emotion and high enthusiasm by the Qur'an teachers and students. With the help of new Qur'an and Iqro books, it is hoped that the spirit of religious learning among the young generation of Marunda can increase again.

DT Peduli Program Manager, Ibnu Sofyan Ats Tsauri, conveyed that this program is a mandate from donors who want to see the Islamic message remain strong to the remote areas that are difficult to reach.

"The Qur'an is a guide to life. In Marunda, we see extraordinary enthusiasm from children to study the Qur'an despite limitations. We want to ensure that this donor mandate becomes a means for the birth of a strong generation of Qur'an memorizers from Jakarta's coastal area," he said.

In addition to physical distribution, the Peduli Dakwah program also aims to map other dakwah needs in the North Jakarta area. DT Peduli is committed to continuing to support local dakwah activists so that religious teaching and learning activities continue to run istiqomah.
