Qurban Meat Sedekah Brings Joy Amid Flood Wounds

DTPEDULI.ORG | BANDUNG – Traces of dried mud still mark the corners of Alue Kuta, Jangka, Bireuen. Late last year, a flash flood devastated this area, sweeping away homes and leaving deep sorrow. Now, 43 families are forced to survive in temporary shelters (huntara), awaiting help amid uncertainty.

"Thank you DT Peduli," said an elderly woman, a beneficiary with tears in her eyes while holding tightly the meat she received.

"We prioritize the distribution of this meat sedekah for refugees at the temporary shelter posts. The rest we distribute to residents in the neighboring village who also need it," said Andi.

Smiles that had faded now return to the faces of the resilient people of Alue Kuta. For DT Peduli, presenting qurban meat is one way to embrace those being tested through satisfying kindness.
