Lighten the Burden of Stroke Survivor Families, DT Peduli Jateng Distributes Educational Assistance

DTPEDULI.ORG | SEMARANG – Dodi, a former security officer (satpam) at one of the banks in Tegal City, has had to accept the harsh reality of drastically changed circumstances over the past year. All of his family's daily needs now depend on his wife, who earns a living by selling fried snacks (gorengan) to schools.

Trials have come one after another for Dodi's family. Before suffering a stroke that left him unable to work, the family had to accept the loss of one of their twin daughters. Now, with his physical condition no longer allowing him to do heavy work, he struggles to meet the school needs of his two remaining daughters.

Seeing this situation, Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Central Java (Jateng) came to offer a glimmer of hope. On Saturday (09/05/2026), the DT Peduli Jateng team traveled from Semarang to Tegal to take Dodi's second daughter shopping for new school supplies at Mutiara Cahaya Supermarket, Tegal.

An emotional atmosphere surrounded Dodi's two daughters; this was their first time stepping foot and shopping directly at the supermarket. They appeared enthusiastic as they personally selected uniforms, shoes, and books that would accompany them in their pursuit of knowledge.

"We have never shopped here (Mutiara Cahaya) before," said Putri with a gleam of joy in her eyes.

Dodi could not help but feel grateful when he saw his two beloved daughters smiling widely with their new school supplies in hand. He expressed deep appreciation to the donors and team who had cared for his family.

"Thank you very much to DT Peduli for traveling all the way from Semarang to Tegal just to help me and my family here," said Pak Dodi softly.

This assistance distribution is a concrete manifestation of the trust placed by donors through DT Peduli Central Java. Through this aid, it is hoped that the burden on Dodi's family will be somewhat relieved, and his children can return to school with renewed spirit to achieve a brighter future.
