Qurban Impact, DT Peduli Distributes Two Tons of Fresh Beef for 6,000 Gaza Residents
Distribution Detail
DTPEDULI.ORG | GAZA – Amid the atmosphere of grief that still envelops the Gaza Strip following the ceasefire announcement, DT Peduli swiftly mobilized its annual humanitarian program of Sedekah Daging on Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, Wednesday (27/5/2026). This program was implemented through the distribution of fresh beef to meet the animal protein needs of thousands of refugee families.
DT Peduli's humanitarian team concentrated the distribution location around Masjid Daarut Tauhiid, Deir Balah. This strategic location facilitated access for refugees scattered across various emergency shelter camps. After completing the Eid prayer, family heads began arriving in an orderly manner, bringing invitation coupons to collect the food packages.
DT Peduli successfully distributed a total of 2,050 kilograms of fresh beef. This amount was sufficient to meet food needs for 1,050 families or reached more than 6,000 beneficiaries over the two-day distribution period.
To navigate the strict blockade, DT Peduli's team conducted the slaughtering, cutting, and sterile vacuum packaging process in Egypt in accordance with qurban Islamic standards. Subsequently, this logistics package was transported via the land route through the Rafah border gate which was opened on a limited basis, before finally being redistributed by local volunteers in Gaza for fair distribution based on a coupon system.
Syaikh Ismail Al-Fayyad, Administrator of Masjid DT Gaza who is a local resident and DT Peduli representative, conveyed that this program serves as an oasis amid the limitations of living facilities, clean water, and electricity that plague the refugee camps.
"Alhamdulillah, this food logistics successfully entered the Gaza Strip and we immediately distributed it to underprivileged families to bring joy on Eid al-Adha. This humanitarian initiative provided tangible benefits to 1,050 families over the two-day distribution period," he said.
The success of this bridge of goodness program is inseparable from the generosity of donors in Indonesia, ranging from daily laborers, housewives, to students, who collectively mobilized their concern through DT Peduli's digital platform.
A refugee mother encountered by the team at the location admitted she cried with emotion because for the first time in three years, her children could eat warm beef soup on Eid al-Adha. This program not only feeds the stomach, but also nourishes the soul that they have not been forgotten.
"Thank you for the support and contribution from our brothers and sisters at Yayasan Daarut Tauhiid Peduli. May Allah grant the best reward, bestow abundant blessings, and flow blessings for the people of Indonesia," said Syaikh Ismail with deep emotion.
DT Peduli hopes that the blessings of Eid al-Adha 1447 H can continue to inspire more goodness, until one day, qurban meat can be enjoyed in Gaza again without being accompanied by the sound of bombs and the cries of war.
