Week 18, Construction of 45 Rupatap Bireuen Reaches 65.60 Percent

BIREUEN — The construction of Permanent Stilt Houses (Rupatap) for disaster survivors in Alue Kuta Village, Jangka District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh, continues to progress. Entering the 18th week, construction progress has reached 65.60 percent.

Based on the Supervisory Consultant's report for the period of September 7–13, 2026, construction work progress was recorded at 65.60 percent based on the calculation of work volume in the field.

This program includes the construction of 45 units of Permanent Stilt Houses located in Matang Pasi Hamlet, Alue Kuta Village. The construction aims to help disaster survivors obtain safe and adequate housing as part of the community's life recovery process.

The construction of Rupatap began on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Each unit is designed with a stilt house concept that takes into account the conditions of the region, including aspects of resilience against earthquakes and floods.

In addition to housing, the Rupatap area is also equipped with several supporting facilities, such as electrical installations, sanitation facilities, and public facilities in the form of a prayer room and communal bathrooms.

DT Peduli's Chief Executive Director, Jajang Nurjaman, stated that each Rupatap unit has a building area of 72 square meters and is expected to serve as housing that can be used in the long term.

For the beneficiary residents, the construction of this permanent housing is a hope to have a place to live again after the disaster. One of the beneficiaries, Dedy, expressed gratitude for the assistance provided.

"We express our deepest gratitude. With the permission of Allah SWT and through DT Peduli, our dream of having a home again can come true," said Dedy.

Until the 18th week, construction continues until all Rupatap units can be completed and provide safe and adequate housing for the beneficiaries.
