Orphaned Children in Sukabumi Experience Joy Shopping at Selamat Toserba

DTPEDULI.ORG | SUKABUMI – A total of 50 orphaned children participated in the Berbagi Bahagia (Sharing Happiness) activity held at Selamat Toserba, Jalan RE Martadinata, Sukabumi City. During the event held on Saturday (11/7/2026), each child received shopping vouchers that could be used to purchase various necessities according to their wishes.

An atmosphere full of joy was evident throughout the event. Before shopping, the children participated in various activities such as ice breaking, doorprize distribution, and listened to inspirational stories about the tales of the prophets. Smiles of happiness radiated from their faces as they enthusiastically participated in each series of activities.

The fifty orphaned children who participated in this activity came from Sukabumi City and Sukabumi Regency. The participants' ages varied, ranging from 3 years old to sixth-grade elementary school students. They were accompanied by their mothers, siblings, or grandmothers. With great enthusiasm, the children chose for themselves the necessities they wanted to buy, ranging from snacks, school supplies, to school uniforms.

Iyus expressed that this was the first time Aira participated in an activity like this. According to her, her granddaughter was very happy to be able to shop for her own school necessities.

"It was fun to join this event. Aira bought school supplies," added Iyus.

"Thank you for shopping for Aira," she said.
