Meaningful Muharram, DT Peduli Central Java and Ministry of Religion Central Java Hold Eid Celebration for Orphans and Persons with Disabilities

DTPEDULI.ORG | SEMARANG - A warm and caring atmosphere colored the series of the 2026 Eid Festival for Orphans and Persons with Disabilities held by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. In the activity held at Al Hikmah Mosque, Complex of the Central Java Provincial Office of the Ministry of Religion, Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Central Java (Jateng) participated as one of the collaborating institutions in bringing happiness to orphaned children and persons with disabilities during the Muharram month, specifically on Thursday (25/06/2026).

The activity took place solemnly yet festively, attended by the Head of the Central Java Provincial Office of the Ministry of Religion and his staff, the Chairman of BAZNAS Central Java, leaders of zakat institutions throughout Central Java Province, as well as orphaned children under the care of each institution. The event was held in hybrid format, connected with a series of national activities through live Zoom Meeting broadcast, and began at 08.00 WIB.

The event was opened with remarks from the Head of the Central Java Provincial Office of the Ministry of Religion, Dr. H. Saiful Mujab, M.A. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation and gratitude to all zakat institutions that attended and contributed to the success of the 2026 Eid for Orphans activity.

"Thank you to all zakat institutions that have become collaborators by presenting representatives of beneficiaries, namely our orphaned siblings and persons with disabilities. Hopefully in the future this activity can continue to run better and bring wider blessings for all," he said.

On this occasion, DT Peduli Jateng presented children who are beneficiaries of the Peduli Yatim Program as representatives in the series of symbolic activities. Their presence became part of the spirit of sharing happiness and providing attention to orphaned children in the Muharram month, a month that is synonymous with care and compassion for others.

This momentum also aligns with the "Muharram Berbagi Harapan" campaign being promoted by DT Peduli Central Java. In this Muharram month, DT Peduli Jateng presents a number of programs for orphaned and dhuafa children, one of which is the Happy Tourism and Education Program, designed to provide valuable experiences, happiness, as well as a learning space for orphaned dhuafa children.

The activity was then continued with guidance and prayers delivered by the Chairman of BAZNAS Central Java, Dr. KH. Ahmad Darodji, M.Si. In his guidance, he conveyed the wisdom and stories full of lessons from the Muharram month. The atmosphere became even warmer during the interactive session with orphaned siblings held through a prize quiz, which made the children enthusiastic and happy to participate in the event.

Head of DT Peduli Semarang Branch Office, Vita Febriarini, also expressed gratitude for the collaboration invitation from the Central Java Provincial Office of the Ministry of Religion. According to her, the 2026 Eid Festival for Orphans and Persons with Disabilities became a very good space for synergy in spreading benefits and hope to orphaned children, while also aligning with the spirit of the Muharram Program being carried out by DT Peduli Jateng.

Through participation in this activity, DT Peduli Jateng hopes that the spirit of collaboration between zakat institutions, government, and society can be maintained, so that more orphaned children and persons with disabilities can feel attention, compassion, and happiness in the Muharram month.
