The Joy of Eid al-Adha from Al-Aqsa Courtyard
Distribution Detail
DTPEDULI.ORG | BANDUNG – Eid al-Adha holds profound meaning for Muslim families living in the corners of the city of Al-Quds, Palestine. Amid economic limitations and uncertain circumstances, a plate of meat on the dining table is a luxury they rarely encounter.
After being neatly and cleanly packaged, the fresh meat is immediately distributed to distribution points around Al-Aqsa Mosque. The main target is the most vulnerable: widows struggling alone, orphaned children, the elderly, and low-income families living alongside the first qibla of the Muslim ummah. More than a thousand souls experienced the blessing of qurban from the mudhohi (qurban donors) this year.
One elderly beneficiary could not hide his joy upon receiving the qurban meat. Words of gratitude and spontaneous prayers were uttered by him. He expressed his gratitude because DT Peduli always remembers his brothers and sisters in need.
"May all of this be recorded in the balance of your good deeds. We hope you continue to prosper and are always honored, insyaallah. May Allah elevate your status," he said softly.
From the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, sincere prayers flowed from the beneficiaries for the blessings of the qurban donors who have extended their benefits to the land of the prophets.
"The hope is that this qurban program is not just a ritual of buying animals, slaughtering animals, and distributing them, but also has greater impact that can be given," concluded Jajang.
