Amid Mali's Crisis, DT Peduli Distributes qurban Packages

DTPEDULI.ORG | BAMAKO – The last day of Tasyrik, Saturday (30/5/2026), became a different and long-awaited moment for residents in Bamako District, Koulikoro Region, Mali. Through the Qurban Impact program, the Amil Zakat Institution (LAZ) Darut Tauhid (DT) Peduli came directly to the community to distribute goodness and share the joy of Eid al-Adha.

The presence of DT Peduli's humanitarian team in this West African region brought a glimmer of hope amid Mali's prolonged multidimensional crisis. Armed conflict and political instability in the northern and central regions have forced hundreds of thousands of residents to lose their homes and flee to the outskirts of the capital as internally displaced persons.

"Today, insya Allah, we will be part of those who do good deeds seeking the pleasure of Allah the Most Glorious. 'And they give food, in spite of their love for it, to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.'" explained a DT Peduli volunteer who is a local resident.

Through the inaugural program at this location, DT Peduli slaughtered and distributed meat from 5 sheep (weighing 15–20 kg) and 5 cattle (weighing 200–250 kg). The entire slaughtering process until the distribution of meat portions was carried out directly at the location so it could be immediately enjoyed by the residents who were eagerly awaiting it.

The presence of this quality qurban meat became an extraordinary blessing for those who have been experiencing nutritional vulnerability due to drought and famine. Gratitude and emotion were clearly evident on the faces of the beneficiaries.

This humanitarian action successfully reached 85 Heads of Household (KK) or equivalent to 425 people. This moment was a warm luxury for them to enjoy a proper meat meal after struggling for so long amid economic limitations and lack of basic facilities.

"We beseech Allah the Almighty to accept their good deeds. This is our hope, for He is indeed the Protector and All-Powerful to make it happen. Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. May Allah bless you, and reward you with the greatest goodness," concluded the DT Peduli volunteer.

The distribution of Qurban Impact conveyed a message of brotherhood that transcends national borders. The meat packages distributed are hoped to ease the burden of suffering, wipe away tears, and restore smiles and the real joy of Eid al-Adha for hundreds of residents who are struggling to survive amid the humanitarian crisis in Mali.
