Mount Anak Krakatau Erupts, DT Peduli Bekasi Launches Disaster Preparedness Action with Distribution of Hundreds of Free Masks

DTPEDULI.ORG | BEKASI - Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Bekasi held a disaster preparedness action by distributing hundreds of free masks to the community. This social action was focused on two high-traffic areas, namely East Bekasi and West Bekasi, to respond to the potential spread of volcanic ash from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau. The mask distribution targeted two-wheeled vehicle users who have the highest exposure levels outdoors, particularly online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol) and motorcycle riders passing through the area.

"This step is taken as a preventive measure to protect the community from the dangers of Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ISPA)," said Arif Hidayat, Program Staff of DT Peduli Bekasi.

Online motorcycle taxi drivers responded positively to this prompt action. In addition to receiving masks, riders were also given mineral water and advised to remain vigilant, maintain safe riding distance when visibility is obstructed, and always consume sufficient drinking water while engaging in outdoor activities.
