Supporting the Spirit of Qur'an Learning, DT Peduli Malang Distributes Iqro to TPQ Asy-Syifa

DTPEDULI.ORG | MALANG – The enthusiasm of children in learning the Qur'an has become a special inspiration for Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Malang to continue supporting Islamic education in the community. As a form of concern for learning facilities, DT Peduli Malang distributed Iqro books to TPQ Asy-Syifa located at Sawojajar Gang 13, Kedungkandang District, Malang City, on Thursday (2/7/2026).

The assistance was provided as an effort to support the process of learning to read the Qur'an at TPQ Asy-Syifa, which until now still uses Iqro as the main method in teaching Qur'anic literacy to its students. Amid the development of various Qur'anic learning methods, TPQ Asy-Syifa continues to maintain the Iqro method because it is considered effective and in line with the learning system that has been applied for many years.

Interestingly, the use of the Iqra method is now becoming increasingly rare in several TPQs in Malang City that have switched to other learning methods. Therefore, the donation of Iqro books from DT Peduli Malang is expected to meet learning facility needs, while also supporting the continuity of the method that has become the hallmark of TPQ Asy-Syifa.

Every afternoon, the atmosphere at TPQ Asy-Syifa is always filled with the enthusiasm of its students. Qur'anic learning activities begin at 3:30 PM and continue into the evening, attended by students of various age levels, ranging from kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, to high school children. Despite having their own school commitments, they still make time to deepen their Qur'anic recitation and religious knowledge.

For DT Peduli Malang, the provision of learning facilities such as Iqro books is a long-term investment in producing a Qur'an-loving generation. Through adequate facilities, it is hoped that the teaching and learning process can run more optimally so that more children are able to read the Qur'an correctly and properly.

The head of TPQ Asy-Syifa, Ustazah Umi, expressed gratitude for the attention given by DT Peduli Malang to the students.

"Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful and thankful to DT Peduli Malang for this donation of Iqra books. We have indeed been using the Iqro method in our teaching, so this assistance is very beneficial for our students. In sya Allah these books will become amal jariyah that continues to bring rewards because they are used every day for learning the Qur'an. May Allah repay the kindness of all donors and DT Peduli with blessings and ease in all their affairs," said Ustazah Umi.

Through this program of distributing Qur'anic education facilities, DT Peduli Malang hopes that more TPQs will receive support for adequate learning facilities. The hope is that the enthusiasm of young people in studying the Qur'an will continue to grow, so that a generation emerges that loves the Qur'an, has noble character, and is able to practice its values in daily life.
