Two Trucks of Hope Successfully Reach Gaza
Distribution Detail
DTPEDULI.ORG | GAZA - The sky in Al Wusta, the central region of the Gaza Strip, appeared clear on Friday (15/5/2026). Amid rows of refugee tents standing closely together on dusty ground, two trucks carrying food aid slowly entered the refugee camp area.
Mothers and fathers, along with some teenagers, emerged from the tents lined up waiting in an orderly manner. That day, it was not merely aid that arrived. There was hope that came along on those two trucks.
Aid was distributed directly to the refugees, both through queues around the trucks and delivered directly to their tents. A warm atmosphere was felt despite Gaza still bearing deep wounds from the ongoing conflict. Small smiles bloomed on the faces of refugees as food packages changed hands.
A DT Peduli volunteer at the location opened the aid distribution with a hopeful voice.
"Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. By the grace and generosity of Allah, a truck carrying food aid packages has arrived in the land of Gaza," he said.
"The truck carrying these aid packages does not only contain food inside, but also carries hope and life for the people who have experienced care and suffering," he continued.
There was no commotion during the distribution. The refugees queued in an orderly manner waiting for their turn to receive aid. Others received packages directly in front of their refugee tents.
The clear afternoon weather seemed to add warmth to the atmosphere. Children held the food packages they had just received tightly. Some mothers appeared to wipe their eyes several times. Not only because of Gaza's dust, but because there are still distant siblings who continue to remember them.
"We thank our brothers and sisters at the DT Peduli organization for their good and blessed efforts in supporting our refugee brothers and sisters in the camps in the middle of the Gaza Strip," he said.
For him, the food aid was not just about meeting food needs for the coming days. More than that, the aid became a reinforcement that they are not alone facing the difficult situation that continues.
"May Allah reward them with all goodness, and may it become a field of reward on the scale of their good deeds," he continued softly.
"Syukran Mubarik," he said with a bright face.
That brief statement seemed to represent thousands of feelings of gratitude that were difficult to express with long sentences.
The distribution of aid continued until the second truck was opened. The volunteers moved quickly again, transferring food packages to refugee centers.
A DT Peduli volunteer conveyed a touching message in the midst of the distribution process.
"This truck carries packages inside, but these are not ordinary packages, but rather carry hope and life for people who have experienced suffering and limitations," he said.
"These packages are now being prepared to be transferred to refugee centers and shelters. In these centers, our refugee brothers and sisters reside," he said.
In front of a refugee tent, a Palestinian woman expressed her gratitude and prayers for the Indonesian people after receiving a package containing basic food items.
"May Allah bless the people of Indonesia, and may Allah reward you with all goodness," she said with emotion.
For Gaza residents, the aid may have arrived in the form of food packages. But behind each box distributed, there is a message that care can transcend borders, language, and even the ruins of war. In Al Wusta that day, two trucks of aid did not only deliver food. They delivered hope, prayers, and love from Indonesia to Palestine.
