DT Peduli Metro Distributes Qurban Meat to Hundreds of ODGJ and Underprivileged at Yayasan Srikandi

DTPEDULI.ORG | CENTRAL LAMPUNG – On Thursday (28/05/2026), an atmosphere of emotion filled Srikandi Foundation, Central Lampung, as the Board of Srikandi Foundation received the mandate of qurban meat from DT Peduli Metro for people with mental disorders (ODGJ) and homeless individuals living at the foundation.

A total of 10 qurban goats were distributed to hundreds of beneficiaries. This distribution became a form of care and effort to bring the joy of Eid al-Adha to those who rarely receive attention.

Head of DT Peduli Metro, Aris Setiawan, said that qurban is not only about distributing meat, but also about bringing compassion and a sense of humanity to others.

"Many of them may rarely feel attention and affection. Today we come not only bringing qurban meat, but bringing a message that they are not alone, they remain our siblings who deserve to feel the joy of Eid al-Adha," said Aris Setiawan with deep emotion.

Board of Srikandi Foundation, Ika Puji Rahayu, expressed gratitude upon directly receiving the mandate of qurban meat. "Thank you to the qurban donors and DT Peduli Metro. Our foster children are very happy. Some even cried because they felt cared for. Perhaps for some people this is simple, but for them this is a very great happiness," said Ika Puji Rahayu.

Similar sentiments were expressed by Suryadi. He mentioned that the assistance became an encouragement for the foundation's residents who have been living in limitations. "They are often looked down upon by society. But today they feel that there are still good people who care. May Allah repay all the goodness of the qurban donors with multiplied blessings," he said.

Furthermore, Ipul, a foster person with mental disorder at Srikandi Foundation and also a qurban beneficiary, also shared his impression. "I'm very happy, it's been a long time since I ate qurban meat together like this. Thank you to the good people who still care about us," said Ipul softly with a moved smile.

The distribution of qurban meat is part of DT Peduli Metro's effort to bring the benefits of qurban to those who need it most, while fostering social care in the community.
