DT Peduli Malang Successfully Holds Happy Shopping with Orphans at Hypermart Living Plaza Sawojajar

DTPEDULI.ORG | MALANG – Smiles of happiness radiated from the faces of orphaned children as they personally selected their needs and dream items during the Muharram Sharing Hope Activity titled "Happy Shopping with Orphans", organized by Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Malang.

The activity took place at Hypermart Living Plaza Sawojajar, Malang City, on Wednesday (8/7/2026) and was attended by orphaned children from various areas in Malang City.

This program is part of the Muharram Activities series initiated by DT Peduli Malang as a form of care for orphaned children. More than just providing assistance, this activity created a memorable experience by inviting them to shop directly according to their individual needs and desires.

The activity began with participant registration. After that, children were directed to sit with their respective groups before receiving instructions from the organizing committee. Each group was accompanied by volunteers who helped ensure the shopping process ran orderly and enjoyably.

Each child received a shopping voucher that could be used to purchase various items at Hypermart. Full of enthusiasm, they walked around selecting school supplies, stationery, food, beverages, and other personal necessities. The laughter and cheerfulness of the children adorned every corner of the shopping center.

Not only did they get the opportunity to shop, all participants also received various gifts as a form of attention and affection from partners supporting this activity.

Hypermart also provided gifts to all participants. Additionally, sponsors of the Muharram Sharing Hope activity also gave prizes in the form of packages from Hisana Fried Chicken, stationery supplies from Dian Ilmu Stationery, Al-Qur'an from Syaamil Qur'an, and gifts from Masjid Salahuddin KPP Madya.

Head of DT Peduli Malang, Joko, conveyed that this activity is expected to bring happiness while building confidence for orphaned children.

"Muharram is a month synonymous with care for orphaned children. Through the Happy Shopping with Orphans Program, we want to provide a different experience. Children not only receive assistance, but are also given the opportunity to choose items they need themselves. We hope this simple happiness can become an encouragement for them to continue learning, worshipping, and pursuing their dreams. Thank you to all donors and partners who have entrusted their mandate through DT Peduli Malang," said Joko.

Through the Happy Shopping with Orphans activity, DT Peduli Malang hopes the spirit of sharing in the month of Muharram continues to grow in society. The happiness created from collective care is hoped to be a small step towards bringing a brighter future for orphaned children, and strengthening the spirit of togetherness in spreading benefits to others.
