Worry Turns to Gratitude, Single Mother Moved as Her Child Receives School Supplies Assistance from DT Peduli Bekasi

DTPEDULI.ORG | BEKASI - A smile of happiness could not be hidden from the face of Siva, a single mother living in the Bekasi area. Economic difficulties had made her anxious facing the new school year. However, that anxiety has now turned into gratitude because the National Zakat Management Institution (Laznas) Daarut Tauhiid (DT) Peduli Bekasi quickly distributed school supplies assistance for her children, on Thursday (9/7/2026). Since being left behind by her husband's death a few years ago, Siva has had to struggle alone as the backbone of her family. Relying on uncertain income from odd jobs, she often has to rack her brains to meet daily basic needs, let alone to buy school supplies which are quite expensive.

With the help of new uniforms, it is hoped that Siva's sons and daughters can return to school with high confidence and be more enthusiastic in pursuing their dreams. DT Peduli Bekasi also extends its deepest gratitude to the donors who have entrusted their zakat, infaq, and sedekah, so that it becomes a way to bring smiles to the faces of single mothers and other resilient children throughout the country.
