Alhamdulillah, Finally Experiencing Qurban Meat After Three Years of Waiting
Distribution Detail
DTPEDULI.ORG | PALEMBANG – For most people, qurban meat is a dish that almost certainly appears on the dining table every Eid al-Adha. But this is not the case for residents of Dusun Duo, Serdang Village, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) District, South Sumatra. For the past three years, the moment of Eid al-Adha has passed in this hamlet without the presence of qurban meat on residents' tables.
Dusun Duo is one of the relatively isolated areas in OKI District. Access to the location cannot be reached only by land. Residents and volunteer teams must continue their journey by water using a getek boat to reach this hamlet. This geographical condition largely explains why, for the past three years, the qurban worship has not reached there.
The journey of the DT Peduli team was also not a short one. After traveling by land from Palembang, the team continued their journey using three getek boats that cut through the river waters in the OKI region.
Dusun Duo's location became the main target for distribution this year, after the DT Peduli team conducted a survey a month earlier. The results of that survey motivated the team to prioritize this hamlet, to ensure that the trust of the muqarib could reach the point of greatest need.
Head of DT Peduli's South Sumatra Office, Joni Susanto, expressed his gratitude for the distribution of the trust to Dusun Duo. He hopes that the team's presence that day will be a path to happiness and benefit for the residents.
"Alhamdulillah, we are here to be a means for the muqarib. Our hope is that with our presence here, the people of Dusun Duo will experience happiness and benefit. May the muqarib be given abundant blessed sustenance and may goodness continue to flow in this world and the hereafter, insyaa Allah," he said.
Residents welcomed the arrival of the DT Peduli team with deep gratitude. Topan, a representative of the Head of Dusun (Kadus) Duo, expressed his thanks for the distribution of qurban trust in his village.
"I represent the Kadus from Dusun Duo. In this regard, we express our gratitude to the muqarib of DT Peduli who have distributed their qurban in our hamlet, which we have not received for the past three years. We receive this qurban with gratitude and joy. May the volunteers and muqarib be given health, blessing, and abundant sustenance," he said.
The distribution of qurban in Dusun Duo also became a meeting point for several trusts from DT Peduli's partners. In addition to individual muqarib, the qurban trust distributed at this location is also a trust from corporate partners, including MTTG Telkom, Kitabisa, and AmalSholeh.com.
