Over 40,000 Residents Evacuated, DT Peduli Distributes Aid to Manggarai

DTPEDULI.ORG | MANGGARAI — An earthquake that shook East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) caused tens of thousands of residents to evacuate. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) recorded 40,040 people evacuating due to the earthquake. "The temporary data on evacuees that we have collected so far shows 40,040 people. This does not reflect the extent of house damage, so we need to be careful in interpreting it, but this is due to the psychological impact felt by residents," said Acting Head of the BNPB Center for Disaster Data, Information, and Communication, Berton SP Panjaitan, Tuesday (18/8/2026).
