How to delete your account (self-service)
- Sign in to your account at sedekah.id/akun (in the app or a browser).
- Scroll to the bottom of the Account page, then tap Delete Account.
- Read the consequences, tick the confirmation box, then tap Yes, Delete My Account.
Your account is deactivated and profile data deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.
Can't sign in?
Send a deletion request to [email protected] from your registered email address, or include the WhatsApp number registered to your account so we can verify ownership. Requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification.
Data that is deleted
- Profile data: name, email address, WhatsApp number, profile photo, date of birth, city, and occupation.
- Sign-in credentials (the account can no longer be used) and all login sessions on every device.
- Recurring giving (Shadaqa Rutin) schedules and their reminders are permanently stopped.
Data that is retained
Donation transaction records (amount, date, campaign) are retained to comply with the organisation's financial record-keeping and audit obligations under applicable law. Once your account is deleted, those transactions are no longer linked to your profile and your name is not displayed anywhere in the service.
